Salary: $8.50/hour—30 hours/week (part time position)
The City of Ballinger is taking applications for a certified pool operator. The CPO performs a variety of general and specialized maintenance and repairs on the City of Ballinger’s pool as well as other assigned duties. Duties include, but are not limited to, operating, repairing, maintaining and cleaning mechanical equipment for pool operation including water filtration and chemical purification systems. Must be on call 24/7 during pool operations during summer months. Minimum qualifications are, High school diploma and two years minimum experience in the maintenance of a swimming pool utilized by the public, possession of a Certified Pool Operator certificate and possession of a Texas class “C” driver’s license. Must have the ability to lift at least 100 lbs. and do physical labor, as well as all other duties as assigned by park supervisor, public works director and city manager.
