Ballinger Charter Amendment Propositions November 2019 wpc revised May 31 2019
00:00:11 – 1. Call meeting to order.
00:00:21 – 2. Prayer and pledge of allegiance.
00:01:43 – 3. Consider approval of the minutes of the May 20, 2019 meeting.
00:02:15 – 4. Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. Per the open meeting act, the City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.
00:03:02 – 5. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize consulting service agreement with Frost Insurance to assist the City in seeking competitive sealed proposals for employee health, dental, vision and life insurance.
00:06:10 – 6. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize the City staff to seek competitive sealed proposals for employee health, dental, vision, and life insurance for the fiscal year 2019-2020.
00:07:41 – 7. The City Council may consider, discuss or authorize hear a proposal to install disc golf course in the Ballinger City park.
00:25:03 – 8. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize an amendment to the City park and recreation ordinance. Section 17.5-27b to change the hours that the city park is open to the public from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
00:33:46 – 9. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize the sale of property located at 908 N. 11th Street.
00:45:21 – *10. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize action on the proposed Charter amendments.
00:37:58 – 11. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize accepting the recommendation of the Planning & Zoning board to approve the variance request from Mary Dallas at 501 N. Broadway for an Indoor commercial kitchen located in the (R-1) residential area.
00:44:22 – 12. Consider approval of building permits.
02:17:11 – 13. Hear the City Administrator’s bi-weekly report.
02:17:27 – Paving update
02:18:05 – Raised $8,000 for tornado relief effort
02:18:58 – Town hall meeting held with about 200 people in attendance
02:19:41 – Equipment bid for FAST grant are in and have been turned over to grant administrator
02:20:19 – Ryan Koenig with the WTP will test for his B license next week
02:20:42 – Poly pipe class on June 29 and 30, 2019 for water department
02:21:27 – Fire hydrant location and marking project & fire hydrant repair class
02:22:55 – Park project update

02:24:10 – C. Pool kick-off party was a success with about 150 children and adult in attendance
02:25:16 – D. Teen Movie night scheduled for June 20th at 6:00 p.m.

02:27:17 – 14. Hear request for future agenda items from City Council.
