00:00:11 – 1. Call meeting to order.

00:00:15 – 2. Prayer and pledge of allegiance.

00:01:44 – 3. Consider approval of the minutes of the July 1, 2019 meeting.

00:02:23 – 4. The City Council will have a public hearing to hear citizen input on the proposed Charter amendments to be placed on the November 2019 ballot.

00:11:14 – 5. Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. Per the open meeting act, the City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

00:15:04 – 6. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize a maintenance agreement with Runnels County.

00:16:51 – 7. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize the quarterly hot fund account report from the Chamber of Commerce.

00:21:15 – 8. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize action concerning a complaint about the police department from Mike Jass.

00:21:40 – 9. The City Council may consider, discuss and authorize the process update on condemned house of Jeanette Johnson and Mack Smith located at 501 S. Broadway.

00:23:54 – 10. The City Council may consider, discuss with Holly Hubbard and authorize action concerning the playhouse in the front yard of 901 N. 8th Street.

00:43:22 – 11. Consider approval of building permits.

00:43:54 – 12. Hear the City Administrator’s bi-weekly report.

00:44:01 – • Former City Attorney Ebb Grindstaff passed away Monday, July 8

00:45:37 – • Ernest Juarez resigned from the Ballinger police department effective July 11

00:46:43 – • Street repairs on 8th Street still in process

00:47:51 – • Houses destroyed during the tornado are being demolished plans are to be finished by July 31

00:52:22 – • Health insurance bids are still under review, proposing to be put on the August 5 agenda

00:52:54 – • Standpipe is still under review with TML

00:54:30 – • Senator Charles Perry will be at a town hall meeting on August 6 at 10:30 a.m.

00:55:30 – • Family night at the pool on July 24 with movie Lilo & Stitch being played

00:56:03 – • City has acquired a dock to be installed at the lake as a swim platform

01:00:50 – • TCEQ will inspect the sewer plant on July 18, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.

01:02:56 – • Employees are attending pivot class in Abilene at Leonard Irrigation

01:03:27 – • Mosquito abatement program started July 10th

01:06:55 – *Update on the water leak in South Ballinger – Addition

01:10:22 – 13. Hear request for future agenda items from City Council.
